Mania has plenty of haters but I am not and will never be one of them. It's not my favorite release of their's but I will defend it until my dying breath. People are just mad that Fall Out Boy doesn't want to keep sounding like it's 2003 and I think that is a good thing! Fall Out Boy knows that if they keep playing with the same sound indefinitely it will grow stale and both they and listeners will lose interest. You must change or die. I think that when a lot of people heard their more poppy sound their immediate reaction is that they were going to start making souless pop music, but I can still feel the creativity in these songs. They were made with thought and care and experimentation on the mind.
