Favorite song: Welcome To Horrorwood
Wow wow wow I love this album so much! At the moment one of my favorites of all time. It's so much fun to listen to it always makes me smile. The songs are all about kiling and violence yet they are so silly. I knew that I just had to get this limited edition because it has Meat and Greet on it (although I do have some things to say about the way in which they entertain the idea of autogynophilia presented in Silence of the Lambs). Being a violinist, I was very excited to hear what was done for the orchestral arrangements of these songs. I think that you could do some very interesting arrangements to these songs that would still caputure how lively and playful they are. Unfortunately, I was very dissapointed by them. All of them just sounded like generic movie trailer music. Ex Mortis was literally begging for a jazz arrangment and you blew it! The only arrangement that I enjoyed was The Shower Scene, the cellos really added a nice melancholy sound. For the booklet pages I get that they are supposed to look like they were on fire but the holes in them that cut off some of the lyrics are a bit annoying. The booklet pages probably look a little messy but I didn't feel like meticulously cropping the tattered edges of each one and having 32 png images take up a bunch of storage space.
